Thank God I'm Not a Republican!
If I were a Republican, I would have to support candidates whose staffs do things like this:
Separated at Birth: Bret Schundler and Howard Dean:
One photo was taken at a 2004 Dean for President rally sponsored by the American University College Democrats in Washington, D.C.
The other photo comes from Bret Schundler's campaign website, advertising Schundler's Reform Gear

Click hear to see the song written by American University College Democrat Laura Reznick -- she's the one wearing the Schundler hat and holding up the Schundler sign, and the one wearing the Dean hat and holding up the Dean sign.
All Schundler needed was ten enthusiastic young supporters and a camera. And he couldn't find them?

The moderates in his district will see this fellow to be a fraud. The conservatives will have to think to themselves - is a vote for him like a vote for Howard Dean? So who is this little stunt supposed to win over for this fellow? Certainly not liberal Democrats.

My God, you can actually see Dean's thumb next to genius's elbow. They just literally stuck the picture on top.
Wow...

Great! I always wanted to buy a picture of Mr. Schundler. In fact, I was .... "shopping"..... for a "photo"..... yeah.... yeah ... "photo shopping" ... yeah, that's the ticket!
Jon Lovitz has found a kindred spirit - running for office in New Jersey.

I don't get it: Why is Dr. Dean stealing Mr. Schundler's crowd pics? And he can't even look calm & steely in a suit while accosted by fanatic supporters. He must be a wild man!

Were to foster an illusion of self-sufficiency with respect to others.

Nobody's that dumb or desperate. Maybe there's a Deaniac mole on Schundler's staff. I'm just going to keep quiet and see how this pans out.

They have updated the site and taken the picture down. What is hilarious is that the page now has a definition of the word reform:
Reform: 1. a change for the better as a result of correcting abuses. 2. A campaign aimed to correct abuses and malpractices.
Seems like this politician needs to correct a few abuses and malpractices on his own staff first.

Remember the Schiavo memo: the argument "nobody would be dumb enough to do X" does not work when applied to Republican staff members.

The wonders of Photoshop and plagiarism.

Incidentally, the people in the image, as well as Howard Dean and his campaign, probably could bring suit against Schundler.
I've heard that the gay couple pictured in the anti-AARP ad (the one about the "AARP's real agenda" of undermining the troops and supporting gay marriage) are mulling a suit against USA NEXT...

Schundler was mayor of Jersey City. Not exactly a breeding ground for ethical behavior by politicians of any stripe.
Dean shouldn't sue, but the folks in the background sure as heck should!

There was also the time the Bush administration copied and pasted soldiers from its own picture to make the crowd of soldiers hearing Bush's address look bigger or something.

I think that's even dumber in the "obvious fraud" sweepstakes.

D'oh! Busted!

As a followup -- Schundler's PR firm has taken the responsbility, blaming it on a "junior staffer."

Not as good as the one we had here in the uk.

The candidate doctored the photo to change the slogan from 'Let them stay' to 'Controlled immigration' and 'Not Chaos and Inhumanity'. Just to keep up with the Conservative party policy.
Yup, and they really thought people won't notice.
