The source who gave the CID material to Salon is someone who spent time at Abu Ghraib as a uniformed member of the military and is familiar with the CID investigation... the following summary of the material included: "A review of all the computer media submitted to this office revealed a total of 1,325 images of suspected detainee abuse, 93 video files of suspected detainee abuse, 660 images of adult pornography, 546 images of suspected dead Iraqi detainees, 29 images of soldiers in simulated sexual acts, 20 images of a soldier with a Swastika drawn between his eyes, 37 images of Military Working dogs being used in abuse of detainees and 125 images of questionable acts."

What is a "questionable act" ? I shudder to think.

At home it is the war against the middle and lower classes, the war against science and the environment, the trampling upon of the constitution and rule of law. Abroad it is the destruction of relationships with allies, the abrogation of international treaties and international law, and, with torture and human degradation, the annihilation of the good image of America in the eyes of the world.

And this from an administration that expects us all to be patriots. No thanks.

I just called my Senator, and then emailed the following, not that I expect the useless wimp to actually do anything:

America, land of the sodomizing torturers and home of the murdering cowards. Is that who we want to be? From what I see of the recent photos that is who the world has every right to see us being.

Who was in charge of that prison? Why have they not been court martialed? And when in God's name will the Senate hold hearings to get the bottom of this scandal?
