Joe Lieberman Has Lost It
Here is Joe Lieberman from two years ago:
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2008/08/31/lieberman-2006-i-will-help-obama-reach-to-the-stars/:
As far as I'm concerned [Barack Obama] is a 'Baruch,' which means a blessing. He is a blessing to the United States Senate, to America, and to our shared hopes for better, safer tomorrows for all our families. The gifts that God has given to Barack Obama are as enormous as his future is unlimited. As his mentor, as his colleague, as his friend, I look forward to helping him reach to the stars and realize not just the dreams he has for himself, but the dreams we all have for him and our blessed country.
Joe proclaims that Obama will make America safer and said he would help Obama realize all the dreams for our country. Will he say this with pride during the GOP convention? Let's see if the media brings this up when they cover his speech.

At that time Lieberman ("I" for me myself and I firstly-CT) was fighting for his job. Of course he would say anything and mean it. Now the Iron Rice Bowl is mssion accomplished till 2012, so it's time to speak from his heart.
I have seen charts showing the decreasing clawback of Federally taxed dollars to Connecticut during Lieberman's career in what Billmon called the Salon of Peoples' Deputies. What I would like to see is that graph of Connecticut's wealth being taxed away overlaid on Lieberman's family fortune. Or the chart of the average Nutmegger's share of the national debt against Lieberman's increasing or decreasing family fortune. I am guessing that his family fortune is increasing, don't think I need to be Nostradamus for that call.
Here is a suggestion for a future blog topic, who will bring the greater financing penalty to the Federal government for their spending plans, Obama or McCain? Who will our foreign creditors demand a higher interest rate from to fund our Federal consumption?
And yes the 2006 Lieberman was correct; Obama is a Baruch. Let us all strive to be greater Baruches.

Too bad there is not a video of Joe back when he actually was making sensible statements.
