The Eighteen-Year-Old is going to college next year, which means that I need to think about making more money. (The idea that one might write checks to rather than receive checks from universities is now strange to me.) I wonder what those "Pioneers" think now of their noble efforts and money that put this abject failure in office. What do those thoughtful people feel when they contemplate their votes for the man in 2000 and 2004.
Do they have to close their eyes when shaving or doing makeup?
The stories they tell themselves to cover over and make a smiley face of what they have wrought must be the stuff of nightmares.
