The similarity to the '64 Goldwater and '68 Wallace states is rather striking.

How is this a race issue? Whites in the south vote overwhelmingly republican regardless of who their candidate is. They don't identify with democrats.. They are the bible belt. They identify with pro life, traditional Christians. These people largely voted for Huckabee over McCain and the Morman Romney, its a religious issue. Obama doesnt share their moral values.
